Sunrise or Sunset

Sunrise is beautiful.
The radiant ball of red hues
illuminating the blue sky,
rising slowly above the horizon,
brightening the deep blue sea,
reflecting a fresh new start.

Sunset is romantic.
The fury ball of fire
disappearing purposefully below the horizon,
dimming the glaring daylight,
with intense red and orange,
to soothe the tired,
with one last ray of light before darkness.

I prefer the sunset.
Sunrise is superficial,
for those who are shrouded in unrealistic optimism.
Sunset is deep,
for the unrelenting, hopeful of the bleak future.
